I had my rat neutered here, I took him for his post op check up and informed the nurse I was concerned about him as he had a bad smell, increased redness and swelling and pus around his neuter site, the nurse took him to be seen by a vet who said he was fine and it was all normal after surgery. Four days later he had an infection so bad he had black necrotic skin, lots of pus and a very bad smell. Yes infections are a risk of surgery but a vet failing to spot a severe infection shouldnt be. He had to be put under anesthetic again, risking his life again, because the vet failed to take my concerns seriously and failed to inspect his wound properly also leading me to have to pay for the surgery, they did reduce the cost but still there wouldnt of been a cost if they had caught the infection sooner when i pointed it out to them. My rat then had his 2nd operation to clean and flush the neuter site, once again I took him for his final post op check up and the vet said she was very happy with how he was doing and the wound had completely healed. Well she was wrong again because the wound unfortunately wasnt completely healed as she stated, 3 weeks after that surgery his wound was fully open once again. He is now having to have his third anesthetic to flush and stitch the wound, again putting his life at risk again. I have made a formal complaint regarding his poor level of care and how this has been able to happen and also the fact that I have to now pay out for a third surgery, they have reduced the cost again after I made a formal complaint but to me at this point that is no longer good enough, they have repeatedly failed in the care of my rat and at the same time because of their mistakes I am having to not only continue to care and worry about a sick animal but also to worry about having to foot the bill for the mistakes they have made. I will never bring any animal here again.

We have used the practice for a few years now and they have always been great, we go monthly for regular treatment my dog needs and I’ve never had an issue, they’re always quick to get us in and are so good with him. Recently he was diagnosed with cancer and we have had lots of appointments and yesterday surgery, I can’t thank the staff, particularly Debbie his surgeon, enough they are always so caring and attentive with him, he’s had so many procedures and been poked and prodded no end but he still is so excited when we get there and so happy to see the vet, it’s a real reflection on the staff and the care they give. Thank you all

Nothing but nice things to say about Ipswich Vets (along with their other surgeries too!). We’ve always used Stowe Vets for our animals and recently have been going to Ipswich more as our greyhound needed surgery and he hates the car so Ipswich is closer for a check up. Yesterday he was poorly so I called them late morning and they fit us in for an appointment same day. The vet was with another patient when we arrived which reception staff told us so we were in the loop, but the wait wasn’t long at all. Everyone at the vet made a huge fuss of our boy and the vet who helped us was beyond amazing! She was kind, patient, listened and understood my concerns and Monty loved her. We were all sorted with bloods having been taken, meds sorted and even a nail trim. He’s already feeling miles better ❤️

Ipswich Veterinary Centre is fab, they've cared for our Cocker Spaniel for many years now and we use the grooming and physio services too. All the staff are so friendly and kind, the vets don't hurry you and take time to explain everything and our options. IVC reception team are very helpful in finding suitable appointments, and assisting with our insurance claims, making it such a simple and painless process. We know our old boy is in the best hands with everyone at IVC, and highly recommend them ❤️

Ipswich veterinary Centre is first class. All the staff are friendly, polite and go out of their way to make animals feel relaxed. Our 2 gingers love seeing their bupa consultants. Big thank you to Jess for putting up with paranoid parents.

We go here for our birds. They are absolutely brilliant! We had to have our cockatiel go in for an uncommon procedure to help with his hormones and they were fantastic. I really can't fault them. Prices were reasonable and the vets are amazing. If you're a bird owner I highly recommend coming here

My dog has been with Ipswich Veterinary for a couple of years, ever since I took him in from his previous owners, who used one of their sister practices. Appointments are always easy to book, and all the staff, from reception to the veterinary surgeons and nurses, are incredibly friendly and helpful during routine visits. I’ve recently been especially impressed after one of the vets, Abigail, told me about the socialisation sessions with the nurses, as my dog can get a bit anxious in the setting. I’ve now attended two of these sessions with nurses Athena and Caitlin. Both times, they were gentle, calm and very caring, helping my dog settle comfortably in the examination room. They also took him around the back, away from me, to help build his confidence in the environment, something that will be especially helpful as he gets older and may need more frequent visits. The best part is that these sessions are completely free. I’m incredibly impressed and very grateful that the vets offer this service for my dog’s wellbeing.
